Family Picture

Well, we went to Las Vegas this weekend, and finally got a picture together of us in our Sunday clothes, so here is the most up to date.  It was hot down there, but Annika got to stay for the week-YEAH for her.  I am finally up to date on posts, but when it rains it pours, so I posted a ton at once.  Have fun catching up on us!!

Art Day

Annika's school had an art night.  Her class put together "masterpieces" out of junk.  It was a good excuse for us to get rid of a few old, broken things.  After they were all glued together, they spray painted them silver, and I thought they turned out pretty cool.  Annika called her piece "Rapunzel".  She was very proud of her work.  She is an excellent student and as her Kindergarten year comes to an end, she is going to miss her friends and teacher so much, as she starts a brand new school next year that is being built.  I am sure she will do well in first grade, if I can handle letting her go all day!!!

Mother's Day Weekend

This is one of the tires for the huge trucks-each tire costs $25,000.  Can you imagine???

For Mother's Day Weekend, my dad came up to visit his mom, so we got to see them too.  They came by on Saturday for lunch and a trip to the Kennecott Copper Mine, it is a fun, cheap thing to do especially with little boys who love tractors.  This is Ashton's favorite display at the museum.  Then you get to watch these HUGE trucks that look so tiny from far away as they haul the dirt away.  It is always fun!  On Sunday we were a little late to church since Annika and Ryan made breakfast for me.  I got great cards and a coupon book from Annika, and then we went and hung out with family for a Dutch Oven yummy meal prepared by the guys.  Annika had a great time hanging out with second cousins and Ashton loved throwing rocks in a yard.  It was a nice weekend.

Take Your Daughter To Work Day

Annika got to go to work with her dad for a few hours for "Take Your Child To Work Day".  She thought it was cool that there was a vending machine with candy, she got to send emails and do some paperwork.  She asked me if her dad was going to pay her since she was going to do his job-she should follow through with that.  She felt so grown up that day and had fun spending time with her dad.
