So, since Ryan has been having late nights working, he can go days without seeing the kids since they go to sleep before he gets home. Since he has missed the hugs, kisses, loves of bedtime, he often leaves notes for Annika to read in the morning. Lots of time, they invite her to go on a "date" with him. The dates may be to stay up late on a weekday to go for ice cream with him when he gets home, or to make popcorn and play games late on a weekend. Whatever it is, she loves the time with him. Dads are always was cooler than moms. So, yesterday she asked me when I was going to leave her a note and invite her on a date. Good question, I thought, I probably need to do that too. Then she said, "I know I will invite Daddy on a date around the house." So here is her invitation she left for him last night. She is going to plan something for them to do tonight. Should be fun. I am just waiting for Ryan to leave a date note for me! When is it my turn?
This says Mom, Annika, Annika, FDad, Will You Go On A Date With Me, Annika
(We both got a kick out of the huge "E"'s)

How special. It really does suck when they work all the time. That's how it is with Andrew right now. With Ryder I was induced two days after my due date but they said they wouldn't induce here until I was a week late. I have been doing a lot of walking this last month so hopefully that will help a bit.
It's too bad that Ryan is working such long hours, but it will payoff in the end. Annika's handwriting is looking great...the E's are SUPER CUTE!!!
That is so funny! Love that. And yes Dad's are always way cooler than Mom's. I bet if you wrote a note simular to Annika's, Dad probably couldnt resist!

Annika puts me to shame. I'm going to leave a note for Matt. We do lots of family adventures but we need some date time. Say Hi to Ryan!
It's a proud thing to see Ryan take the time to share alone time with Annika. She will always remember these times.When we come up to see you in March then you two will have to have a date night as well.

We still have our house in Atlanta but we are in Florida right now. My husband's work took us down here for the next 6 months. We will re-evaluate things then and decide if we will be permanent FL residents or go back to the ALT.
I am going to Vegas next week - any chance you will be in town too?
